As a make-up artist skill and technique go hand and hand with one another. Before branching out to become a freelance artist, enhance your skills as much as possible. Ask friends, co-workers or family members if you can practice with them. Take pictures of your work, as time goes by you will see improvements. Never be afraid to learn from other artist. Visit cosmetic counters in department stores and talk with them. Youtube has various make-up gurus who offer wonderful ideas on looks of all colors and occassions.
